Color My Heart challenge #9

Here's my last-possible-minute entry for this week's color my heart challenge using Creme Brulee and Petal.  Purple is my favorite color but I don't have many scraps using Petal so I was really stumped for a bit, but when inspiration hit I couldn't resist making this card, whether it gets included or not.  At any rate, I love this challenge and thank you to Sarah for all your hard work, guidance & inspiration!

And since this week's challenge at Heart2Heart is a scraps challenge, I have included it there as well.

I used Petal scraps from the long retired (but still my personal favorite) Paper Garden kit, the Creme Brulee is from the You and Me kit (also retired), I used Colonial White and Cocoa cardstock for the card and star outlines, the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the card base and both outline stars (cut the scraps using the negative space pieces as guides), and the sentiment is from B1398 Just for You, which I stamped using Cocoa ink.  I don't have a sentiment inside, as I'm trying to build up a small collection of "just because" cards for those special moments when you really need to send a personalized note.  Hope you enjoy & thanks for visiting my blog!

Happy crafting!  Annette

  3. Thank you both, and scraplift or copy away! That is part of what I love about papercrafting--seeing something that inspires you to try something new, and how 100 scrappers could use the same supplies or challenge and come up with a multitude of projects, each one different, unique, and beautiful in its own way. :-)
