Friendship card for combined challenges

I first met my best friend in August 1981 and there have been a few brief times when we've fallen out of contact but they never last long and they never affect the quality of our friendship, and we have been through some really tough times together.  I can't imagine my life without her friendship but I don't often tell her how much I appreciate her, and I think this card will be perfect to do just that.  I found the inspiration for this card in this week's Color My Heart challenge as well as the current sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch.
details:  There were two color combos to choose from this week at Color My Heart and I chose the Creme Brulee, Goldrush, Olive, and Twilight combo and used the discontinued Florentine paper (both sides of one piece of designer paper).  I cut the hearts on the banner out of a scrap of the same paper and cut a strip of bronze shimmer tape down the middle and attached it to accent the banner.  I used cocoa ink to stamp the sentiment from the discontinued stamp set "Buttoned Together."

Happy crafting!  Annette

  1. Very pretty and good use of the colours. I love the "pop" that comes from the Bronze shimmer trim. Thanks for taking this week's Color Dare!
